Top 5 Navigation and Maps Apps on iOS in South America Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, the performance of the top navigation and maps applications on the iOS platform in South America varied widely, as per Sensor Tower's latest data.

Google Maps maintained a strong presence with downloads peaking at around 279K in mid-January. However, a gradual decline was observed towards the end of March, with downloads dropping to approximately 168K. The app's weekly active users hovered around 23M, peaking slightly over 23M in early January.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a notable fluctuation in downloads, starting at 117K in early January, dipping to about 62K by the end of March. Its active users remained fairly consistent, averaging around 8.6M throughout the quarter.

Google Earth showed a steady download trend, with numbers ranging from 22K to 29K. Active users slightly declined, starting at 475K and ending the quarter at approximately 398K.

MapXplorer: Navigation, Radar saw a remarkable increase in weekly revenue, starting at $262 and peaking at about $3.6K by the end of March. Downloads fluctuated significantly, with a peak of 27K in early February, while active users varied between 9K and 21K.
